Agent Provocateur

Provocare provocation (from Latin, cause 'challenge,') refers to the targeted behavior or to elicit a reaction from other people. This act of a provocateur, consciously or unconsciously in a way that provoked the person or group shows a tendency to desired behavior. The term (Latin provocatio) goes back to Roman law and described in the ancient world is a legal appointment to the National Assembly, the state of any Roman citizen who had been sentenced by a state official to death or corporal punishment (see provocation law). The term, however, has experienced over time a significant change and is now used in different areas very differently. When provocation is defined as a very common behavior in everyday life, which is designed with exaggerations, rule violations (eg normenverletzendes behavior) is associated and provoked stimulate the targeted behaviors. Provoked also be violations of rules and norms, but also zielungerichtete behaviors. Reason, purpose and direction of daily provocations are generally taken away. Provocations also can be used to distinguish themselves from other people or to escalate to situations such as demonstrations, strikes provocateur, etc. (see agent). In medicine is meant by specific provocation tests in which certain stimuli will cause symptoms of a suspected disease. Examples include provocation tests in allergy or photic stimulation in neurology. In the psychology test called a provocation scientifically prepared a situation that encourages people to be tested for behavior to be investigated. The behavior is recorded and analyzed. So the challenge is a central component of projective tests. In constitutional and military sense is understood as a provocation "... the art of creating a false alibi, and to impose the responsibility for decisions other states. Provocations are rarely investigated, because the sources are almost always inadequate and distorted, and because most historians, the operational knowledge is lacking, without which they tangle of false information are not able to unravel. The neglect of this essential issue, however, creates a dangerous distortion of the image of history .... "Thus, the American historian Stefan S. Possony in a chapter of his book "To meet the war-guilt", under the title "The noble art of provocation." Even in art is a provocation to target, so in the modern era in Futurism, and since the 1960s in the styles of Fluxus and happening or about to performances as in the Vienna Actionists. A creativity technique by Edward de Bono is named (Mental) provocation. These are deliberately properties of an object or situation changes, to produce first absurd, unrealistic or otherwise unusual consequences. From these we try below, new to obtain results.
An agent provocateur is a police officer or a person employed by the police or other body to act undercover to cause another person to commit a crime or punishable acts or compromising. The term is usually used to talk of undercover agents in demonstrations to induce violent attitudes that give rise to repression or to discredit the organization or cause that defends. Sometimes the term is used to refer to a person or group that practices such acts of provocation but have no connection with the police. The means to do so usually consist of a deceptive strategy deployed or a supplied material, in creating opportunities, or simple provocation to commit the crime. Agent Provocateur is not punishable because he wants to avoid instigating the crime, that is the counterpart of the instigation, as opposed to such a statement has raised the opinion, that takes nothing away from the activity provocative behavior is translated by the authors or participation in all its forms. The creation or incitement to crime in order that the possible suspect to fall into the trap, thereby generating the criminal intent in those who do not have, is what distinguishes it from the undercover agent. The case law holds that the role of prevention excludes production tempting innocent of the crime itself, the evidence to provide a mere agent provocateur will not be usable. The Spanish Penal Code Law, for example, led the offense can be considered as an attempt inidónea (resulting in the offender unpunished), and even if the crime occurred against the will of an agent provocateur he could be convicted of reckless crime. There are articles such as 263bis of the Criminal Enjuiciamento Act that allow this kind of tricks, such as drug issues. However, it is the agent provocateur is a figure of dubious constitutionality and merits as a democratic, so that its legitimacy is more suited as a means of espionage, repressive or dictatorial.
