Giorgio Armani (11juillet1934 at Placentia (Piacenza), Italy -) is an Italian fashion designer known for his menswear designs. In 2008, his fortune is estimated at about 5 billion USD [1]. He began studying medicine he abandons for photography. After his military service in 1957, he worked as a window dresser in Milan department store La Rinascente. From 1961 to 1970, Armani worked as a designer for Nino Cerruti he left to go it on his behalf. In 1974, with the help of his partner Sergio Galeotti, he established his own apparel company with a male line. It introduces a series of female models in 1975. His international recognition is then ensured when he makes clothes for big names in Hollywood, especially for Richard Gere in the film American Gigolo (1981). Giorgio Armani has received the insignia of Officer of the Legion of Honor July 3, 2008, closing the week of Parisian fashion.
