Brandon

Brandon Lee was the son of Bruce Lee and his wife Linda Lee Cadwell, nee Emery. After the death of his father, when Lee was eight years old, his mother moved with him and his younger sister Shannon to Los Angeles. Linda Lee wanted to give their children a normal childhood, but Brandon Lee's desire was to become an actor. After high school he studied acting at Emerson College in Boston and then joined in the Eric Morris' New American Theater Company in New York. His first acting role was in 1986 at the age of twenty years in the television film Kung Fu: The Movie, in which he played the son of David Carradine character Caine. After his first starring role in Rapid Fire (1992) was followed by The Crow - The Crow, he did not live to its completion. On 31 March 1993 Brandon Lee died in an accident during the filming of The Crow. Laboratory investigations revealed that Lee was hit by a fragment of a dummy bullet, which was needed recently for a close-up. This had apparently unnoticed jammed in the barrel and was then ejected by the explosion of blank cartridge, and met him. Despite immediately initiated rescue Brandon Lee died 12 ½ hours later in Hanover Regional Medical Center in Wilmington, North Carolina. He was buried beside his father in Lake View Cemetery in Seattle. Since it obviously came from an accident, no charges were filed. A later civil action against the mother of Lee's Carolco Studios was settled out of court. The film was completed at the request of his family. Doubles and computer animation took over the still shot scenes.
