Panama, June 2009 - For the fourth consecutive year Cartier Loveday and this time held in partnership with the ALAS Foundation to help with the needs of children in Latin America. Cartier has made commitments with numerous organizations working worldwide for children in need. That is why this year Cartier is committed to assist the work of the Foundation ALAS and during the month of June by donating 10% of sales from his collection Love in its five boutiques of Buenos Aires, Bogota, Panama, Guayaquil and Puerto Rico to celebrate this initiative and to benefit children in Latin America. For this occasion ALAS chosen as recipient of the donation to Operation Smile, a foundation whose voluntary medical network improves the quality of life and social integration of children in more than 13 Latin American countries born with facial deformities such as cleft lip and palate. This effort is focused on children under six years. This important link between ALAS and the private sector at an event held at the Cartier boutique in Panama City, which featured coverage of the press and television and the participation of important personalities of the arts and business. Among those attending were Stanley Motta, a member of the Board of ALAS, Juan Antonio Pungiluppi, Director of the Foundation, Christophe Maincourt, Director of Cartier for Latin America and the Caribbean, the singer and also a member of ALAS Omar and his wife Carmen Alfanno Alfanno and Beth Marshall and Arlene Arias Operation Smile. This is another effort in which ALAS and the private sector together to benefit early childhood in the region. I pledge to keep talking with the presidents of Latin Amrica about the importance of Early Childhood Development programs that improve health, nutrition of children educaciny.
