Comme des Garcons (in French) is a fashion label created by Japanese designer Rei Kawakubo who is the sole owner. Comme des Garçons has a dozen shops in the world and some 200 vendors located in the city's most chic capital cities. The annual turnover is around 150 million dollars. The brand was launched in Tokyo by Rei Kawakubo in 1969 and the company was founded in 1973 in Japan. Comme des Garcons has had great success with his women's collections in 1970 and added to its product line of menswear in 1978.
