Courrèges granted the women's apparel simplicity, in clothes that allow greater freedom and comfort. The shapes of his designs are geometric: squares are based on, trapezoids and triangles. In 1965, he launched a campaign called "Space Age" that revolutionized the world of fashion. At 25 years old, having studied to be a civil engineer, moved to Paris to work in textile design company Geanne Lafaurie. A few months later began collaborating with Cristobal Balenciaga, the famous Spanish designer. In his first appearance on the scene of French haute couture, Courreges introduced a revolutionary concept of style: dress of the "space age." This included boots and sunglasses, large and short dresses. His designs have expanded rapidly around the world, especially the skirt. Among the latest creations are the fates Courrèges, gym pants, beachwear, the mechanical style coats and dresses sports. In contrast also designed a dress with transparencies and launched a line of swimwear revealing, attached only by thin strips at the ends. It was based upon their bright colors and classic geometric designs. Courreges was one of the most copied designer of his time. Shortly after presenting his collection Space Style 1964, the market was filled with plastic skirts and jackets, garments with geometric style, white boots and oversized sunglasses.
