Pierre Cardin is a fashion designer, born on July 2, 1922, in San Biagio di Callalta, region of Veneto, Italy, of Italian parents. He moved to Paris in 1945. There, he studied architecture and worked with Tiny after the war. Schiaparelli worked until he became head of the studio of Christian Dior in 1947, when he was denied work at Balenciaga decided to start his own home in 1950. Thus began in Cardin haute couture in 1953. Cardin was known for his avant-garde style and designs of "Space Age." Preferred geometric shapes and motifs, often ignoring the female form. Innovated in the design unisex fashion, proving that it is sometimes experimental, and not always practical. In 1954 introduced the "bubble dress." In 1959 he was expelled from the Chambre Syndicale the launch of a collection "prêt-à-porter" (ready to wear), to department stores (Printemps) which was inappropriate for the time since it was considered the first "couturier" ( Sewing) in Paris, but was soon reinstated. However, withdrew from the Chambre Syndicale in 1966 and now shows his collections at the Espace Cardin which is proud and opened 1971 in Paris, formerly the Théâtre des Ambassadeurs, near the U.S. Embassy USA. The Espace Cardin is also used to promote new artistic talents, like theater ensembles, musicians and others. Cardin has expanded its brand to other markets, among which includes a contract with American Motors (AMC), following the success of Aldo Gucci, who designed the interior of the Hornet Sportabout wagons. Cars AMC Javelins designs incorporated inside Cardin's daring and outlandish that define exquisitely designer, these cars were available in 1972 and 1973. A total of 4152 cars were an interior finish combining Chinese bands in various colors to create a set against a black background. This was one of the first American cars to offer a customized special package allowing linings removing seats, an idea created by then already famous fashion designer. The Cardin Javelins also came with the designer logo on the front and had a limited selection of exterior colors to coordinate with the special interiors. [1]. His fellow designer, Andrè Oliver, who joined him in 1971 and assumed responsibility for the haute couture collections in 1987, died in 1993. Cardin was a member of the Chambre Syndicale, the Haute Couture and Prêt à Porter and the Maison Haute Couture from 1953 to 1993. Like many other designers today, Cardin decided in 1994 to show his collection only to a small circle of selected clients and journalists. In 1981 purchased Maxim's restaurants and soon opened branches in New York, London and Beijing (1983). Hotels currently owns a chain of the same name (Maxim). Cardin also has licensed a wide range of food products with this exact name. Cardin owns the ruins of the castle in Lacoste Vaucluse that time was inhabited by the Marquis de Sade. He has partially renovated the site and regularly organizes theater festivals there. In 2003 Cardin invited the award-winning Chechen children Dance Lovzar to dance in his musical "Tristan and Isolde", which recently held in Moscow. In the October 16, 2009, Pierre Cardin was appointed Goodwill Ambassador of the United Nations Organization for Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO).
