The therapeutic process takes around a year and only performs therapy sessions consisting of bodily exercises and self-managing group dynamics in order to identify the mechanisms of power present in social relations contracted between members of the group. It is practiced in Brazil and Europe by Brancaleone Anarchist Collective, which brings together the somaterapeutas in activity and training under the supervision of Roberto Freire. This is an anarchist collective created in 1990, formed by the somaterapeutas. Its main function is to develop and practice Somatherapy, concentrating on working on self-management and libertarian ethics. In all these years of self-managed, the Brancaleone always tried to reaffirm its position radically anarchist, in what is now defined as Somatic Anarchism, where pleasure becomes an ethical benchmark for the construction of the autonomy of the individual. Brancaleone collective activities, in addition to Soma groups extend to the publication of books, courses, conferences and more. In 2006 began a course of "Introduction to Somatherapy" on UERJ, Rio de Janeiro, leading to the Soma to the halls of this institution. Is currently composed of somaterapeutas João da Mata, Jorge Vera Goia and Schroeder, and Stefanis Caiaffa assistants and Marcelo Leal, all under the supervision of psychiatrist Roberto Freire.
