Aristodemo was a Spartan warrior, one of the hundred sent to the Battle of Thermopylae. Together with a comrade, Eurytus, Aristodemo was affected by an eye infection. Because of this, King Leonidas ordered them both to return to Sparta before the battle, but flouts Eurytus returns to fight and die in it. Herodotus thought that if they had returned from combat both alive, sick and toilets, would not be insulted by the Spartans.
