Thermo begins in the year 1996 in the city of Guadalajara, Jalisco. With Roy Cañedo on drums and vocals, Mike Knight on keyboards, Ivan Perez on bass and Alain Bultrago as lead guitarist. What begins as a gang in the year 1994, Thermo becomes two years later. In the year 2004 before the record, comes a new component to the band: Eguiarte Kirby on guitar. Thermo now consists of five members, it sounds much more power, by combining the two guitars in the presentations and during the drive. In recent years, after being changed, Ivan Perez decided to take the guitar and enters Cesar Salazar (Zylika) on bass and joins the band. Thermo begins to grow in the local and national level after alternating with several foreign bands like MxPx, ANIMAL, The Sounds, Dos Minutos, Dee Dee Ramone, Babasonicos and Mexican as Jumbo, Genitallica, Pito Perez, Division Minuscula, Panda, Delux, Elli Noise, Tolidos, Austin TV, Insite, Canseco, among others .. In the transition from recording their first album "Burn in Me," released two EPs: "Where are you? EP" and "Core Dance EP", containing recordings of lower quality of songs on these albums. After the departure of the album "Burn in Me," Thermo national tour leaves at various states such as Durango, Sonora, Zacatecas, Baja California, Veracruz, Mexico City, Jalisco, among other cities. Upon returning from the tour, in August 2005, Thermo suffers another change to display the current line: after the departure of César Salazar, Thermo began seeking a new bass player who joined the group and that's when they decided to invite a couple of Pepe Ibarra trials (Meyer), who played in a now defunct local band called Macpot, having worked with them on occasion. Musically, the group noted for their sound: guitar using power chords with powerful riffs, hardcore voice of Ivan Perez and synthesizer sound. While the band was promoted heavily with their amateur recordings and EPs, it was not until 2005 that rose to prominence with their debut album "Burn in me." This album was produced mostly by Roy Canedo, drummer. It contains songs that touch the post-hardcore and screamo, a sequence of piano / synth instrumental and electro-dance song. It was followed by "New Ideas", showing video recordings of films old and fun recordings of the band members. An example is the scene when Ivan Perez appears to "black and white" with a box of cereal "Thermo Flakes." On this album, the voices were suppressed hardcore, decreased the speed of songs and features instrumental and experimental interludes. It also highlights the influence of Meyer, bassist of the band, with more presence on vocals. In early 2009 the group began producing a sound material which would have three acoustic versions of the singles from "Under the radar control," a cover of Canseco and a new song. In late 2009 after nearly 10 years Mike Camacho left the band because of musical differences according to a bulletin posted on their myspace page. After leaving the group changes its alignment integrating Carlos Mendez as the new bassist (former member of the hardcore band from Guadalajara Change Day) and leaving Pepe "Meyer" Ibarra lead vocals. In January 2010 thermo out a new song "Army of Brothers" for an answer to a problem that the band had with his former label Warner Music. Thus presenting its new alignment with a music video of the same song. Text is available under the Creative Commons Attribution ShareAlike 3.0, additional terms may apply.
