Cradle of the work of St. Francis de Sales, Annecy is characterized by a strong religious tradition. If over time, the Catholic community has adapted to the Church, a traditionalist remains present. Priestly Fraternity of Saint Peter Priestly Fraternity of Saint Pius X, sedevacantists .. three different names for the three communities but have nevertheless a common point. All three belong to the current Catholic "traditionalist". All three are from the schism between the Church and Archbishop Lefebvre. La Bergerie is the seat of "work retreats". She greets the public in support of catechetical youth, provides training for youth, and leads a choir comprising adults and adolescents. Attached also to celebrate the liturgy according to the extraordinary form of Roman rite, the community was founded in Switzerland in 1988 by several members of the Fraternity of St. Pius-X who refused where schism caused by the sacred in the movement of Archbishop Lefebvre. Between 70 and 80 people attend a Mass that respects all of the traditional rituals: incense, genuflection, children choir, singing in Latin .. Of the assistance, many families with young children.
