A trilogy is a set of three works, whether literary, cinematic or video game, which are connected and can be seen as entirely or as three separate works. Trilogy (from Greek tri-three and logos mean meaning report) is the name given the ancient Greeks at a meeting of three dramas represented in the same meeting theatrical, and generally linked by the analogy more or less closely subjects. This was the name by the collective name of the Oresteia, Agamemnon, and the Coéphores Eumenides of Aeschylus. Where the tragic trilogy, we added a satirical drama, this ensemble took the name of tetralogy (from Greek tetra, meaning four and logos). British author Ken Follett released on Sept. 28 a new novel, "Fall of Giants" (The fall of the giants), the first installment of a trilogy called "Century." The author has posted on its website the release, which include Spain and Latin American countries, where it will be published by Random House Mondadori. In this first volume, Follett account the vicissitudes of five interrelated families-one American, one Russian, one German, one English and the last Welsh-turvy time in the First World War and the Russian Revolution. In the second book of the trilogy, which is scheduled for 2012, the protagonists are the children of the characters in "The Fall of the giants" and stop in their lives at the time of the Great Depression and World War II. In 2014 will be the end of the saga, with the vicissitudes of the generations during the Cold War until the end of the twentieth century. Author of bestsellers like "The Pillars of the Earth" (1989), Follett, who last visited Spain with his band "Damn right I got the blues" at the opening of the Frankfurt Book Fair 2009, has not stopped writing entertainment novels included in the lists of bestsellers. That is until today published his last book, "World Without End", has sold more than a million and half copies in Spain since it was introduced in January 2008 in the Cathedral of Santa Maria de Vitoria. The author, who said that temple have been inspired to write the play, has always maintained a special relationship with the city, which has been responsible for installing in the Plaza de las Burullería annexed to the cathedral, a statue erected in his honor ( the only one with the writer), sculptor Casto Solano.
